The EAMST is a scientific, non profit-making organisation which promote cooperation, research and development in the area of bone grafting and tissue banking in Europe.

History

The association was officially founded on april 4th , 1992 in Brussels. The society is officially registered in Belgium as an international association and its official seat is at Brussels (Royal order of february 2nd 1993 published on April 1st 1993) .

The foundation was preceeded by two important meetings : the first was held in Wassenaar (the Netherlands) on October 1st, 1990. The second was held in Munster (Germany) on April 6th, 1991.

The followings were in Brussels 92, Paris 93, Leicester 94, Munchen 95, Firenze 96, Barcelona 97, Turku 98, Brussels 99, Rhodos 01, Helsinki 2003, Lisbon 2005.

The EAMST Web site was created on May 2000 by Ch. Delloye M.D. in cooperation with M. Verhelpen Ig and Alexandra Safiannikoff. It is generously housed on the Internet Server of the Faculty of Medicine of the 'Université Catholique de Louvain' in Brussels, Belgium.
